The challenge
Samurai Productions faced a tight three-week deadline to create a hero film for the United Nations Climate Conference 2022 (COP27). The film needed to deliver a compelling climate change message and use the latest environmentally friendly virtual production processes. The project was further complicated by the director's inexperience with virtual production and the uncharted nature of this technology for many industry professionals.
What we did
Samurai Productions leveraged their virtual production expertise to streamline the workflow and meet the deadline. They selected experienced Heads of Departments (HODs) to support the director, Alvaro, in realizing his vision.
The result
The COP27 Hero film was a powerful call to action against climate change, showcased globally on CNN and Bloomberg. The film exceeded expectations and set a new standard for low-impact, high-impact storytelling.
